Nice to be here. Our neighborhood church, the Basilica Minore de San Pedro Bautista, run by the Franciscans, is one of the Jubilee Churches of the Diocese of Cubao. In the beginning of his homily during the opening of the jubilee door, Bp. Elias Ayuban, CMF, DD called the said church the "mother church" of the diocese. The church is located at 69 San Pedro Bautista Street in Barangay Damayan, Quezon City.

what does it mean to be a "Jubilee Church"?

Whenever there is a Jubilee Year, a diocese designates a church as a "Jubilee Church." Visiting a said church will grant Catholics plenary indulgence, and if they possess a Jubilee Passport, it will be signed. Once the Jubilee Passport is filled (10-15 designated churches), a certificate will be given as a token for the pilgrim who undertook the journey.
