Hi, @Arvie Hernandez. Thank you for the “appdates.” Nanalo pala ang yes. Pero ambaba ng turnout, around 18% lang. Bakit hindi interesado ang residents sa isyu?

Monitoring the resumption of House session here in the plenary now.

House debuts its new hymn “Bagong Kongreso” as the Speaker Bojie Dy-led chamber returns from a nearly two month break on Monday, July 27.

02:13 AM

As expected, Speaker Dy’s speech highlights House’s legislative accomplishments, says his chamber passed 26 out of 52 priority bills of the administration.

Out of this number, only 1 is enacted into law as most bills have been held up at the Senate.

What’s new in Dy’s opening speech? Not much, but we take note of his commitment to include in Marcos’ list of priority measures a bill that seeks to prohibit children aged 13 and below from accessing social media.

The proposed Children’s Social Media Act comes in the wake of recent incidents of school-related violence.
